PAX North Church Plant Assessments

Church planting, we believe is part of our missional call. It is our plan to see new churches planted in any area where there is an evident need for a new or renewed Gospel witness. We are actively seeking to partner with and reproduce new and established churches who are commited to reproduce other churches.
In order to do this in a proactive way we are first of all committed to setting aside 10% of our church income for the purpose of church planting. Secondly, partnering with Fellowship Atlantic and ACTS29 to reproduce church plants thorugh out our region. Thirdly, actively targeting and praying for a variety of regions in Atlantic Canada to discern God's working in these settings. Fourthly, in the regions where we see God working, or directing we are setting up Lead Teams who will begin to prepare the soil for a new church plant in that region. Fifthly, we have established an assessment and coaching process to help identify and train potential church planters and their families.

This process includes coaching, assessing and internships. We recognize that not every intern will be a church planter, nor does every church planter need the experience of interning with us at their given point of spiritual growth. We do however believe, and have experienced, the encouragement of submitting our lives and calls to an assessment of like minded, spiritual sojourners as we transition into new places in our ministry experience.

We would highly recommend that all potential church planters, whether lead or support, submit to this process of assessment and seek to partner with those who will be able to surround them in unique ways.
