"Christ became a servant ... in order that the nations might glorify God for his mercy." -Romans 15:8-9
"In love [God] destined us to adoption ... to the praise of the glory of His grace" Ephesians 1:4-6

"Without worship, we go about miserable." -A. W. Tozer
"As worship begins in holy expectancy, it ends in holy obedience. Holy obedience saves worship from becoming an opiate, an escape from the pressing needs of modern life." -Richard Foster
Worship is a default mode of the human heart. We are created to respond in awe, adoration and with adaptation of our life to that which we are worshipping. The human life will never find peace, fulfillment or satisfaction of heart, mind, and soul- holistic peace- apart from a life that is lived in worship to God. As we through His Word, His Spirit and His people, understand His Person in greater depth we discover that worship is essential.
We respond in awe, adoration and adaptation of our life to the God who has revealed His work of love in our lives. Worship is both a private response of the heart and a public response of the life. Worship can and must be both individual- enjoying the presence of God personally- and corporate as a community responds to the work of God in our midst.
Worship has the foundations of primal response- ancient; yet worship can be an innovative response from a fluid culture-future.
The response of worship is, to the greatest of our limited ability and knowledge, to give Him glory in word and deed. It is not to worship a style, a form, or a method of response.
It is to seek out the best and proper response to express our lives entirely to so great a God. To glorify Him wholly.
We will seek to use these foundational values as we grow in the understanding of what our expressions of worship will look like.
Intentional Worship It is our intention to use the elements of art, culture, creativity and a variation of styles to best express our response of worship to the work of God among us. At times this may look monastic, it may sound like a style of soul spiritualist, or Maritime Celtic, still at other times we will have an Indie-Rock sound of worship. We will seek to engage the senses, the mind and the heart- holistically- as a way to express our response to God. The understanding being that we will seek out the response of our heart that can best reflect those moments of awe and joy to the grace of God at work in us. Our hope and aim is to create space for authentic and God honoring worship above all else.
Authentic Worship The greater part of worship is seen in our obedience to the work and will of God in every aspect of our daily life. As a church our corporate response of obedience will be evidenced in the stewardship of all that God gives us (relationships, resources, influence, energy, time, etc). As an act of worship we will invest in these aspects of obedience in such a way as to seek to bring value to the city in which we live. This will include supporting and investing in the best possible ways to address social injustice, urban poverty, racial tensions, and other such urban elements. These "Value Projects" will be a corporate response of authentic worship, to the glory of God in our neighbourhoods.
